The Candida Diet
The Candida diet is often an addition to other means of treatment such as natural Candida treatment or other medication. When suffering from a Systemic Candida infection – a state in which 1 problem leads to another, it is important that you know your enemy well. It means that you pay attention to the sources of your nutrition: your diet.
Candida Albicans is yeast, that causes vaginal yeast infection and it feeds on sugar. If suffering from systemic Candida infection one must control sugar in all forms. Foods to be avoided:
Sugar Candida yeast feeds on refined sugar products most conveniently. e.g.: sweets, Junk food and processed foods eg bakery products like bread, cake, cookies, cereals, canned juices and food.
Bleached Flour It is another processed food that can be broken down into sugar which is nutrition for your Candida bacteria
Yeast products Eating products that contain yeast make Candida albicans infections severe. A lot of food items that we eat contain yeast like bread, cake, Vinegar, sauces – tomatoes mustard and chili etc
Food Products that cause Discomfort/Allergy:
Tap water It contains chlorine sufficient to damage the natural environment of your gut, if not destroy it completely. This can lead to yeast infection. Use filters if you are to drink tap water, boil the tap water or consume bottled water.
Lactose Intolerance Lactose is simply a sugar found in milk. Lactose intolerance means that the digestive system of an individual is not able to break down the sugar – LACTOSE found in milk. This inability results from a shortage of the enzyme lactase, which is produced by the cells that line the small intestine. Hence, it is called Lactase Deficiency. Commercial Meat, Poultry and Eggs We should Purchase organic products or live stock raised naturally. They are a little expensive, but the health benefits they procure are worth it. Commercial grade meat and poultry is raised in very unhygienic conditions and through an artificial process. The farmers feed the live stock many antibiotics that make animals prone to disease. Certain quantity of these antibiotics are eliminated by the time this meat reaches the meat shop the amount left is enough to induce the growth Candida yeast bacteria
